AIRENSETSU (Devotee on Lotus)
愛蓮説
A series of my works inspired deeply from the famous poem, “Devotee on Lotus” elaborated by Zhou Dunyi, a Chinese scholar of Confucianism, active in the 11th century.
It takes place of my concern in seven points. The Photos are mainly taken at Toshodai-ji Temple, Nara in Japan.
- Although lotus got out from the mud, never got covered in mud,
- Washed by pure ripples, with a spotless appearance,
- The inside of the stem is hollow and the outside is straight,
- Fragrance is more fresh from a distance,
- Standing straight and clean
- You can look at it from a distance, but you can’t touch it casually.
-
Although I got out from the mud by myself, never got covered in mud,
